Pharmaceutical Company, Lupin Ltd. , has appointed CET Alumnus Sreeji Gopinathan (1993 AEI Batch) as its Chief Information Officer (CIO). Lupin develops a wide range of branded & generic formulations, biotechnology products and APIs globally. The Company is the 4th largest pharmaceutical player in the US by prescriptions and the 2nd largest Indian pharmaceutical company by global revenues. Shri. Sreeji Gopinathan will be heading the IT function for Lupin globally and will be based in Mumbai.
Prior to joining Lupin, Gopinathan was with Reckitt Benckiser. And as its Regional IS Director, Shri. Sreeji received the coveted CIO100 Award in 2016. He has also been associated with companies including Philips, Procter & Gamble, ISRO and Asea Brown Boveri.
Shri. Sreeji Gopinathan is a movie producer, actor (‘Nalla Vishesham’, 2019), percussionist (playing professionally as part of bands), social worker, marathoner, and above all else an industry expert. Even a brief insight into his professional life shows that his belief in people and his pursuit to stay invested in them has scripted some inspiring growth stories. Under his leadership, various organizations have positively taken giant strides.
