Mahansangamam was the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the class of 1970 of College of Engineering, Trivandrum. Held on 16th January 2020 at CETAA Hall, CET, the event was an ode to one of the greatest batches of the institutions. Honouring this batch of great achievers, the event was inaugurated by Dr. G Madhavan Nair, Former ISRO Chairman.

A Guru Pooja was undertaken, where the shishya (student) sought blessings from their guru (teacher). In the academic culture of India, the student honours the teacher, not merely for giving him knowledge, but for nurturing them and preparing them for a lifetime of challenges.

The experience that a CET graduate feels towards their teachers are precisely the same. As part of the guruvandanam, Dr. R Ravikumar, a teacher in the Mechanical Department was felicitated by his student, N. Sreekumar. Dr K P P Pillai of the Electronics Department was honoured by P. Venugopal.

A Sivanandan sought the blessings of his beloved teacher, Prof Achamma Cherian, Civil Engineering department. Prof. Sakuntala S Pillai was honoured by Shri. B.C Nair. Prof. Thomas Panicker was felicitated by his student Zubaida.

An experience that was filled with affection and nostalgia, Mahasangamam will always be etched into the hearts of those who were present.
